Magnesium-doped lithium niobate crystals have the advantage of high photoresist threshold,
especially when the magnesium-doped
concentration exceeds the threshold
concentration (~5mol%), the ferroelectric domain coercion field is reduced to one-fifth of the same composition lithium niobate crystals, which is an ideal material for nonlinear optical quasi-phase matching and high-power electro-optical devices.
Applications
Magnesium-doped lithium niobate crystals have a high light damage resistance
threshold and are widely used in waveguides , laser technology and other fields , and are the basic materials for the preparation of laser frequency multipliers , laser modulators , laser oscillators and excitation waveguide substrates
